Hosting and technical data
This website is hosted using Cloudflare Workers Static Assets. When you access it, Cloudflare processes technical connection data, such as your IP address, time of access, requested page or file, and browser information. This enables website delivery and protection against disruption and misuse. Cloudflare operates a global network, which may involve processing outside the EU. Further information about Cloudflare’s processing is available in its privacy policy.
Your sample text stays in your browser
On the typeface page, your browser saves your sample text and font settings so you can continue with them on your next visit. The type tester does not send these entries to us. You can delete saved sample data through your browser’s website data settings; “Reset” replaces the previous sample with the defaults.
Icon searches are also processed directly in your browser. PNG files are created on your device; copying an SVG uses the clipboard. No external conversion service is called.
Voluntary support through Stripe
Selecting “Support Rays” opens an external Stripe payment page. A connection to Stripe is only made at that point; Rays does not load Stripe resources during a normal page visit. You enter payment information directly with Stripe. We may receive information about your support, such as the amount, payment status and the email address provided during payment. Downloads remain available independently of any payment.
We process the information necessary to handle your voluntary contribution on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We meet statutory accounting and record retention obligations on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) GDPR together with the applicable tax provisions, in particular Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code (AO).
We retain information about your support only as long as it is needed to process the payment or meet legal obligations. Where statutory retention requirements apply, accounting vouchers are generally retained for eight years and business correspondence for six years (Section 147 AO). The period starts at the end of the calendar year in which the voucher was created or the correspondence was received or sent. Statutory extensions remain applicable. Once the data is no longer needed for these purposes and no retention obligations remain, it is deleted.
Where Stripe processes data as an independent controller, its own purposes and retention periods apply. You can find details in Stripe’s privacy policy.
When you contact us
For an email inquiry, your sender address and message content are needed to handle your request. Retention depends on this purpose and any applicable legal obligations.
Your rights
